Visual artist Maria Wenslawskaya-Gribina (Maria Węsławska-Gribina)

Until 2021 worked under the name Maria Ionova-Gribina, changed it in tribute to her Polish roots. 

 Graduated from the Karl Faberge Art School and a professional course at the Moscow Academy of Photography. In 2007 she attended lectures at the School of Contemporary Art at Moscow Museum of Modern Art. In 2009 participated in the educational program of the Objective Reality Foundation, studied with Bjarke Myrthu and Lucian Perkins. From September 2011 to December 2013 worked for the Grinberg agency. Participated in numerous exhibitions of contemporary art and photography. Author of educational programs. Maria currently lives and works in Krakow, Poland. She works on a range of her own projects and also cooperates with takiedela.ru portal. She teaches at the Free Workshops School of Contemporary Art at Moscow Museum of Modern Art. Her works are in the collection of the Moscow Multimedia Art Museum, the Museum of Moscow, as well as in several private collections in Russia, Europe and United States. 

Artist works with photography and other mediums. Her work is based on in-depth research of the different psychological patterns of our society, with the methodology of reconstruction the ordinary life situations. In her projects, she divides society into different groups and categories depends on a topic. For instance: kids with guns, people who are talking about sex, man, who had never had a kid in their life, etc.
